Nantou County, Mingjian Township, is a plain that spreads on the west side of the mountain range in the center of Taiwan. It is the largest production area, with an area of 2,500 hectares and an annual production of 10,000 tons. It is an old tea producing area, and the main varieties were Qingxin Oolong, Qingxin Dajiang, and Wuyi, but since 1980, it has mainly cultivated more productive varieties such as Jin Xuan, Suiyu, and Four Seasons Spring.
