Goomtee Tea Garden, founded in 1899, is located in south Kurseong and spreads over an altitude range of approximately 850 to 1,800 meters. The name of the tea garden "Goomtee" means "corner of the road" in Nepali, and as the name suggests, there is a corner of the main road at the foot of the tea garden. It is one of the tea gardens that is highly regarded locally for its stable quality throughout the year.
