Desford Tea Plantation, located at an altitude of 1,385m in the southwestern central mountain range of Sri Lanka, is a historic tea plantation that has been producing Ceylon black tea for over 150 years since its establishment in 1871. The tea produced at Desford Tea Plantation is characterized by the delicate floral and citrus aroma and flavor created by nature, and its flavor is highly regarded. The total area of the tea plantation is approximately 434 hectares, and it produces more than 600 tons of tea per year. Located on the western slopes of the Dimbula Valley, the estate is surrounded by stunning scenery and pristine natural surroundings.
