Available for the very first time, BORPATRA is a new summer-picked Assam from a renowned plantation, which boasts a rich body and deep flavor. Its fragrant aroma reminiscent of sweet potatoes makes it perfect for milk tea.
This black tea, with its vibrant, sweet flavor, is brought to you by the Borpatra Tea Estate, which produces many traditionally brewed black teas. Its mellow richness pairs perfectly with cream, creating a flavorful, mild milk tea. It also goes exceptionally well with sweets, complementing simple treats like buttery baked goods to enhance the aroma and flavor. Enjoy it straight or as a milk tea, and indulge in the richness of this seasonal Assam tea to your heart's content.
Located in the foothills of the Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh on the Assam Border, Borpatra Tea Estate is a historic tea estate spanning approximately 566 hectares which has been producing tea for over 100 years. The region enjoys abundant rainfall and a hot, humid climate, ideal for cultivating robust Assam black tea. The slopes and hills are home to Assam's world-class tea plantations. Borpatra Tea Estate is certified by FSSC 22000 and the Rainforest Alliance. It is also a member of "trustea," an organization run by the Trustee Sustainable Tea Foundation, which aims to improve environmental sustainability, community welfare, and consumer quality and health safety in the Indian tea industry, addressing key challenges facing the industry.
