The finest seasonal Nilgiri tea with a sweet flavor redolent of freshly picked oranges and a floral, mellow finish. We recommend using water that has slightly cooled after boiling, and a 4-5 min steep to draw out the best flavor. Only available in limited quantity.

Kairbetta estate is located on the outskirts of Kotagiri town in the Nilgiri Hills of South India, approximately 2000m above sea level. It is known for orthodox black teas and seasonal specialty teas, with over 100 years of history.

Frost tea is usually produced during the very limited period of December-February, when the temperature in Nilgiri is lowest. Using only leaves that were carefully hand-picked, the tea-making process takes place at dawn when the temperature is the lowest in the day, producing luxuriously aromatic teas.
